There was every reason for Tottenham Hotspur fans to celebrate after Tuesday evening’s Champions League victory over Red Star Belgrade, but our youngsters were in UEFA Youth League action again this week, and highly rated Troy Parrott stole the headlines at that level.
The 17-year-old Republic of Ireland talent was on show for our Under 19 side, and he banged away four goals in what became a very impressive 9-2 victory over Red Star Belgrade’s youngsters.
Goalscorers – Bennett 3, Parrott 30, 32, 74 (pen), 86, Robson 48, Etete 82, White 90+1, Maghoma 90+3.

Fans have long been aware of Parrott’s talent and how highly rated he is at the club, and manager Mauricio Pochettino continues to involve him in first team duties, whilst taking a patient approach to his development and his performance in this one will only enhance his chances moving forward.
With the game taking place ahead of our senior side being in action, calls to have him involved on Tuesday night should’ve been expected.
Start him vs Liverpool can’t be worse than we’ve been

Get him in the first team, right now.

Just stick him in the first team

Pochettino needs a careful look at how he deals with Parrott. He's a class above this level and Spurs need to make sure he's challenged. The last thing he needs is to get stuck in the Oli Skipp hinterland not playing any football. Loan or regular minutes from the 1st team bench

I know he is 17 and needs to be nurtured etc but how is he not on the bench for first team at moment as a plan b when chasing or when are just desperate for somebody to chase defenders into the ground.

Who remembers when Kane was a young un and EVERYONE wanted him to start and was desperate for, was it AVB to play him. And then he finally did and the rest is history. Two words – Troy Parrott
